Arnold W. Brady, 1914-2003, Boonville
Arnold W. Brady, 89, of Boonville, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, in Columbia.
He was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Wooldridge, a son of Atlas and Martha
Elizabeth Friedrich Brady.
Mr. Brady attended Highland School and Dunkles Business College. He
graduated from Repert Auctioneer School in Decatur, Ind., in 1936. He was a
lifelong resident of Cooper County. He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge and
the Missouri Senate 90th General Assembly. He was a Christian and attended
Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He dedicated his land to the Missouri River
Valley Steam Engine Association, now known as the Brady Showgrounds, on Sept.
7, 2000.
Surviving are a niece, Dorothy Hunt, of Sedalia; and four great-nieces,
Debra Williams, of Blue Springs, Lisa Middlebrooks, of Springfield, Stacey
Dexter, of Columbia and Marcey Caldwell, of Boonville.
He was predeceased by a sister, Otho Mae Rowland; and a nephew, Donald
Rowland.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at William Wood Funeral Home in
Boonville, with the Rev. Dan Faust officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday
at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
